The Plastic Pull project actively contributes to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals:
Yoox has contributed to the recovery of litter from beaches, parks and streets in Italy. Piantando, responsible for the project, organizes, finances and monitors all interventions, ensuring the correct carrying out of the activity.
After Piantando and the partner associations have carried out the collection days, they certify each kg collected by attaching: photographs, place and date of collection, weight, disposal method and collection team.
Thanks to our network of associations and initiatives, areas of degradation are identified where waste has been abandoned or transported by currents. The field intervention is planned and the representatives report the activity carried out, photographing all the phases and weighing the harvest.
Targeted collection expeditions are organized to clean up an area where the administration does not intervene (due to inconvenience or operational difficulty). The objective is to restore dignity to natural areas or areas of public interest such as roads, parks, river courses and beaches.
Piantando’s certification system assigns a unique code to every action of the project.
